Grad and Postdoc Career Development Workshop: "Facilitating Learning with Small Group Work to Make a Bigger Impact"

Tuesday, March 6 from 12:30-2 PM at the Searle Center Library. Registration is free, but requested.

Small group work is a great active learning technique for courses in any discipline. It offers the opportunity to engage more students in deeper interactions with each other, the class material, and the TA/instructor. However, doing small group work can also pose challenges in organization and facilitation. This workshop equips TAs to identify opportunities for group work, utilize different small group formats that can target specific needs and objectives, and practice group work in their own classroom.

Facilitators: Matthew Brauer (French & Italian) and Sasha Klyachkina (Political Science)
